The genus Anigozanthos, which has 11 species, is pollinated by birds.
So nice to see them in their natural habitat, and such vibrant colours, puts mine to shame!

These are just one of so many flowers that have all become my new ‘favourites’. Everything grows so robustly here, perfectly adapted to the climate and soil. Though some evidence of scorching on some plants after the 46 degrees spell at the end of January I just missed – probably just as well. I’m melting in the mid 20s!
